About Lastec

In 1990, Lastec was founded with the purpose of providing a rotary mowing system with the productivity of a wide-area mower and the precision of a small push mower. Lastec introduced articulation in the turf industry with the Model 721 Articulator. The 3 meter (9.8 ft) wide belt driven rotary was crude by today’s standards but became the first of a line of machines that has dominated high-end rotaries for over the last decade. Today, over half of the TPC golf courses and a third of the world’s top 100 ranked golf courses rely on mowers built by Lastec.

LASTEC WZ1000

Featuring a massive 120” cutting width, five 25″ flex decks, and zero turn maneuverability, the WZ1000 is the world’s largest zero turn mower with the accuracy of five small push mowers. Built in the USA, the WZ1000 commercial zero turn mower fits the production needs of commercial landscapers, lawn care professionals, sports fields, and golf courses.

The WZ1000 includes five 25″ independently flexing decks with up to 24° of total up/down flex for superior cut quality in even the most challenging contours and valleys.

Powered by a 49HP turbo-charged Tier 4 diesel engine, the WZ1000 zero turn mower features quick-lift electric decks for easy transport or storage, tool-free deck height adjustment for quick on-site height changes, and 17-gallon fuel capacity for less fueling downtime. In addition, Lastec’s patented belt-driven decks require minimal maintenance and provide unmatched fuel efficiency compared to hydraulically driven rotary mowers that often cost 50% more to own and operate.

LASTEC WZ800

Four things set the Lastec WZ800 Articulator apart from any other mower on the planet. First, the zero turn mower cuts 100” of grass. Second, it cuts that wide with the accuracy of a 21” push mower. Third, the WZ800 can fold the outer decks with ease, reducing the transport width to 78”. Fourth, it can safely trim closer to ponds, banks and other obstacles than other mowers with it’s 21” outside deck side reach. Tough enough for Commercial applications without compromising cut quality.

Lastec flexing decks provide a premium quality of cut throughout the entire width of cut from wing to wing not found anywhere else in the industry. Lastec individual flexing decks cut areas that normally require hand trimming, provide a lower cut without scalping, mow through trenches and valleys in a single pass, and approach contours from any angle without scalping, missing grass, or damaging turf.

LASTEC WZ600

The WZ600 is built to meet the rotary demands that range from golf course use to heavy commercial applications. This unit is available with a 37 hp Kubota diesel. The WZ600 offers a wide cut utilizing four 21” (533.4 mm) flex rotary decks and features a 20” (508 mm) side reach to reduce hand mowing and trimming near ponds or banks. Tough enough for commercial applications without compromising cut quality.

Every Lastec mower features three, five, or seven 21” or 25” independently flexing decks that include up to 24° of total up/down motion for the premium cut quality of several small push mowers in even the most challenging contours and valleys. In addition, Lastec’s center decks include a pivot in the center capable of up to 3° of up/down motion.

LASTEC WZ400

Built in the USA, the WZ400 offers several gas and diesel engine options to fit the production needs and budgets of commercial landscapers, lawn care professionals, and golf courses.

The WZ400 includes three independently flexing decks with up to 12° of total up/down motion for superior cut quality in even the most challenging contours and valleys. With zero turn maneuverability and up to 10 mph speed, the WZ400 is built for speed, production, and accuracy in areas around buildings, landscaping, or other common areas that would normally require hand trimming. In addition, Lastec’s patented belt-driven decks require minimal maintenance and provide unmatched fuel efficiency compared to hydraulically driven rotary mowers that often cost 50% more to own and operate.

Combining a 132” width of cut with seven 21” flex decks, the XR700 finish mower cuts with the accuracy of seven small push mowers at the speed and production of an 11’ wide area mower. Built in the USA, the XR700 pull behind mower is tens of thousands of dollars less compared to a self-contained mower and fits the production needs of golf courses, sports turf professionals, and commercial landscapers.
